Speech Therapy
Helping your child find their voice, one skill at a time
Our licensed speech-language pathologists build communication, language, and social interaction skills through sessions shaped around your child’s evaluation — coordinated with the rest of their treatment plan.
What Is Speech Therapy?
Support that goes beyond pronunciation
Speech therapy at Integrity Care Co addresses far more than how a child says individual sounds. Our licensed speech-language pathologists work on expressive and receptive language, social communication, and, for some children, alternative ways to communicate when spoken language is still developing.
Every speech therapy program starts with your child’s CMDE results and connects directly to their Individual Treatment Program, so the communication goals your child works on in speech sessions reinforce what they’re practicing in ABA and occupational therapy — not a separate, disconnected track.
Sessions are play-based and paced to your child’s comfort level, whether they’re working on first words, longer sentences, or the back-and-forth of a real conversation with a friend.

What We Work On
Communication skills for real conversations
Every child’s speech goals look different — here’s the range of skills our sessions can target.
01
Articulation & Pronunciation
Helping your child produce sounds clearly, so they’re easier to understand at home and at school.
02
Expressive Language
Building vocabulary and sentence structure so your child can express thoughts, needs, and ideas.
03
Receptive Language
Strengthening your child’s ability to understand instructions, questions, and everyday conversation.
04
Social Communication
Turn-taking, topic maintenance, and reading social cues that support real back-and-forth conversation.
05
Augmentative Communication
Introducing picture systems or communication devices for children who benefit from alternative methods.
06
Feeding & Oral-Motor Skills
Supporting the oral-motor coordination that underlies both clear speech and safe, comfortable eating.
What a Session Looks Like
Play-based sessions with a clear target
Speech sessions feel like play to your child, while our therapist works toward specific, measurable goals.

01
Warm-Up Conversation
Sessions open with familiar, low-pressure interaction to get your child comfortable and engaged.
02
Targeted Language Activities
Play-based exercises address the specific communication goals in your child’s treatment plan.
03
Real-World Practice
Skills are practiced in context, such as requesting an item or answering a question, not just drills.
04
Home Carryover Notes
Your therapist shares simple ways to reinforce the session’s focus at home before the next visit.
Often paired with occupational therapy
Many children working on communication also benefit from occupational therapy’s focus on sensory processing and fine motor coordination.
Common Questions
Speech therapy, answered
At what age can my child start speech therapy?
We work with children across a wide age range. Your CMDE evaluation will determine the right starting point.
Does my child need to already be talking to benefit?
No. We support children at every stage, including those who communicate primarily through gestures or alternative systems.
How does speech therapy connect to my child’s other services?
Speech goals are built into your child’s Individual Treatment Program, so they align with ABA and occupational therapy.
